WOW! The Burgers!
October 28, 2009 - I have been a big fan of El Patron since my husband and I started going there 6 months ago. Especially their smoked chicken, homemade tortillas and magaritas. (eeeequyalahhhh :-) Tonight, for the very first time, I had a burger. (burned out on Mexican food, if it's possible)

Holy CRAP, it was to die for! And we are burger PICKY! It was at least a half pound, hand formed and smoky tasting, like they cooked it over a pit. The best part... the bun was kinda sweet and super soft.... WOW. It was the best burger I have had in a LONG time... better than WIllie's or even Burns in Houston. A million times better than Chili's or any other chain. They even cooked it medium rare for me... I told them I would sign a waiver. LOL

If you are hankering for a good (REALLY GOOD) burger, check out El Patron for a big juicy one.

Good Food
Aug 11, 2009 - My Husband and I have just moved here from California. We had one Mexican Restaurant that we frequented. I wanted to find one similar to it when we got to Texas, and I found it at El Patron. We had a meal from them last night. The burritos were cooked to perfection. The sauce on them reminded me of the way they are served in La Paz, Mexico.I love that food Also the quesdilla was superb. This had Spinach & cheese. This also reminded me of the way they prepare it in La Paz, Mexico. With alot of Spinach. The sauces were fantastic. The queso sauce was out of this world, with the pico de gallo sauce in it. Yum I recommend it to anyone. Either eat in or take it to go!

Outstanding

Jul 18, 2009 - The exterior is quite misleading - it is not an average Tex-Mex restaurant, it is a real treat. It is more like "designer" food - the dishes are both interesting and savory - leaving one not only filled, but fulfilled. I tend to carry much of my plate home to extend my enjoyment a little longer! Wonderful service, and the owners are quire personable.

Good Atmosphere
June 24, 2009 - Great service. Food I think is better than dos salsas. Didn't try the margaritas hut will soon. I'd definitely recommend this place.

New Standby
October 13, 2008 - El Patron has quickly become a regular in our dining rotation. The salsa is great. Their margaritas are also pleasing: for $5 you get 16oz. Definitely a better value than most. The food is what I consider "generic" mexican food. But that is a GOOD thing. Meaning everything tastes the way it should. So when you want a taco or enchilada that has the flavors you crave -- this is the place to find it. Oh and the owners are super friendly --they always speak to the guests, and remember faces --rounding out an over-all good dining experience. Try it!!!
